Blown Render, Hove

Blown Render, Hove

The client was concerned with water ingress into their apartment. Upon inspection it was found that a flint/brick parapet wall had become unstable and had blown in multiple places and that the lead flashing had perforated in places as well.

After protecting the flat roof, the team stripped of all the render to the offending wall as well as a small return to another wall. Code 5 lead was installed to the walls with a stop bead. Red grit was then applied to the wall (this helps the following coats to adhere to the masonry/flint), scratch coat and finish coat. Once the render was completely dry a coat of Acropol paint was applied.

Internally a ceiling had to be removed and an outside wall had to be treated with an anti-bacterial mould coat. A new ceiling was installed, plastered and wall and ceiling given a new coat of paint to complete the desired effect. All protection was removed and the area hoovered and furniture replaced for the client.

Full House Refurbishment, Dyke Road

Full House Refurbishment, Dyke Road

The client required a full decoration and kitchen upgrade to their 1 bed flat.

While appraising the project it was found that the boiler was not compliant to the gas regulations. As there was no access to inspect the boiler flue.
All the surfaces not being decorated were protected prior to starting work.

One wall was stripped back and replastered prior to decorations starting. The flat was decorated which included rubbing down all the ceilings, walls and woodwork and received 2 coats of all paint applied.

The kitchen units had all the doors resurfaced and new drawer runners were installed and access panels were installed to make the boiler compliable to the latest gas regulations.

New Double Glazing

New Double Glazing

Replaced blown gas in windows with new double glazing:

To restore the energy efficiency and weather-tightness of our client’s property, we undertook a comprehensive upgrade program that involved replacing existing single-glazed windows. Specifically, our team replaced damaged or inefficient gas-filled panes with new double-glazing units, featuring modern materials and advanced insulation technology. This not only reduced heat loss and gain but also significantly minimized the risk of condensation and moisture-related issues. The newly installed panels were then carefully fitted into place, ensuring a precise fit and optimal sealing to prevent air leaks or further degradation. Our attention to detail and commitment to quality guarantee that our client’s home is now better insulated, warmer, and more energy-efficient than ever before.

New Kitchen Preparation

New Kitchen Preparation

Stage 1:

In order to undertake a comprehensive renovation of the property, our team undertook a thorough deconstruction process that involved the removal of the existing kitchen. This was a necessary step to ensure a clean slate for the installation of new fixtures and appliances. Prior to commencing this work, we took the precaution of safely disabling the electrical and plumbing systems, allowing us to carry out repairs with minimal disruption to the site. Once these essential services had been restored to full functionality, our team carefully cleared the area, ensuring that it was ready for the installation of the new kitchen. Our client’s father will then take over the installation of this bespoke unit, bringing his own expertise and vision to create a truly unique and functional space.

Broken Radiator Repair

Broken Radiator Repair

A broken radiator repair in a busy Air BnB:

In response to a priority request from an Airbnb host, we undertook an urgent repair program that involved the rapid assessment of damage to their property. Unfortunately, upon inspection, it was discovered that a radiator had been completely detached from the wall, posing a significant risk of water ingress and potential structural instability. To mitigate this issue and restore the property’s functionality, our team worked promptly to reattach the radiator, ensuring a secure and watertight seal. This involved the replacement of damaged fixings, careful alignment of the appliance, and thorough testing to guarantee its safe operation. Our swift response not only alleviated concerns for the host but also prevented potential complications and disruptions to their rental income.
